The 2009 Year Annual General Meeting of the Ambulance Service Institute (Hong Kong Branch) was successfully held at The Hotel Nikko Hong Kong, 72 Mody Road, Tsimshatsui East, Kowloon at 1930 hours on Monday, 1st June 2009.

英國救護學會(香港分會)週年晚宴將於二零零九年六月一日(星期一)晚上舉行。晚宴將會緊接同日舉行的學會週年大會後開始,籍此機會讓各會員進行學術交流,增進友誼。

In order to promote the esprit de corps of the members towards the profession and to recognize the contributions of the members to the development of the Institute, to the advancement of Paramedics Services in Hong Kong, or to the enhancement of the professionalism of the ambulance work, the Executive Committee has decided to present the following three awards to the most qualified members of the Institute in the coming Annual Dinner:-

Hiking at Sai Kung
ASI has organized an event of hiking in Sai Kung on 21.3.2009. A total of 48 members participated in the event. The starting point was Sai Wan Ting at Sai Kung Country Park whereas the end point was East Dam of High Island Reservoir. The total distance was about 6 km.
Despite the rainy day, all participants enjoyed the walk very much. We spent about 3 hours to complete the route. Afterwards, we went to Chun Kee Restaurant in Sai Kung to enjoy our delicious sea food lunch in the afternoon!

Fire Asia 2009
Fire Asia 2009, a triennial industry exhibition and conference, returns to the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre on 9-11 February 2009.
There will be a fresh new approach to the region's leading fire and rescue event as it will now combine the requirements of emergency services personnel with those of the specifiers and installers of fire safety products and services. This broad-based approach will enhance the promotion of excellence in fire safety across the region, and provide a wider arena for discussion and networking for all emergency services and fire safety professionals.
The event will specifically target emergency service professionals, building control personnel, fire safety engineers, consultants, architects and designers of fire safety systems. It will aim to provide professional fire safety practitioners with a platform to meet, network and discover new product solutions. The event will be marketed to the wider pan- Asian region, which includes China, South Korea, Japan, Taiwan, Thailand, Vietnam, Singapore, the Philippines, Australia and New Zealand.
